General Information / Changes

• Area mechanics revamped
  • Assignment songs and maimai DX:Perfect Challenge added
• Regular and infinite Areas in maimai でらっくす (except BLACK ROSEちほー) are no longer available, and songs previously unlockable in those Areas are unlocked by default.
  • New users in Splash would obtain the 5 Tour Members in はじまりのちほー.
• Changed the Areas in which some Tour Members are good at:
  • 「はじまりのちほー」 → 「はじまりのちほー2、しゅわしゅわちほー」
  • 「青春ちほー」 → 「みかんヶ岡ちほー 朝焼け通り、みかんヶ岡ちほー 月夜通り」
  • 「メトロポリスちほー」 → 「メトロポリスちほー2 イーシュ襲来、メトロポリスちほー2 黒姫の逆襲」

• ボスオトモダチ (boss friend) appearing in オトモダチ対戦 (friends versus) changes again
  • The boss friend of the grade 拾皆伝 possesses the song BATTLE NO.1, which can be obtained by defeating the boss friend. The song is a "conduction song" (伝導楽曲) that can be "conducted" to other players by playing it with them in multiplayer mode.
    • This is the first time the conduction mechanic is referred to as such; it was called "shared song" (シェア楽曲) before.
  • Players with grades of 二段 or higher in maimai でらっくす PLUS would be reset to 初段.
  • オトモダチ対戦 can't be played on the first credit of maimai でらっくす Splash.
• Frame Collections return.
• New BREAK/SLIDE sounds "らいむっくま＆れもんっくま" (Lime-kuma & Lemon-kuma) added
• Judgment line design "Splash" added
• "Damage sound volume" settings item added
• maimai DX:History of DX Pass illustrations#maimai でらっくす Splash
• 前前前世 revived; first revived song in SEGA music game history
  • Score records for revived songs will not be retained, and revived songs will not be a part of the requirement in 極・将・神・舞舞・覇者 name plates.
• On September 15th, 2020, a tweet that announced the then-upcoming release of maimai ALL PERFECT COLLECTION mentioned that some songs in the album would get Standard Re:MASTER charts to celebrate the release of the album. These are the first Standard charts added since maimai でらっくす. They were added on October 23rd, 2020.
