セガゲームを代表する名作、世界ゲーム史上初となった3D対戦格闘ゲーム『バーチャファイター』（1993年）。そのプレイヤーキャラクターのひとり、截拳道の使い手であるジャッキー・ブライアントのステージの初代テーマソングを光吉猛修さｎがアレンジしました。

きらびやかなシンセサイザーサウンドをリズミカルに奏でるリフレインが印象的な原曲を、光吉さんは楽曲のベースに忠実にリミックス。よりダンサブルでノリのいいナンバーに仕上がっています。

PVには、ジャッキー以外に結城晶、パイ・チェンなど懐かしの『バーチャファイター』キャラクターが続々登場。初代『バーチャファイター』そのままに、とてもシンプルなポリゴンで描かれたキャラクターたちが、さまざまな技とバトルを繰り広げます。ポリゴンビジュアル完成前のキャラクターの姿が登場するのもセガオフィシャルならではの面白さです。『バーチャファイター』シリーズファンのみならず、格闘ゲームファンにも是非プレイしてほしいナンバーです。

恐らくmaimai楽曲のアレンジ仕事の最初の曲だったと記憶していますがコンセプトが元の楽曲が好きな人も納得の出来るアレンジ、と言う事だったので、アレンジの方向性はズバリ、Crackin'DJ Part2方式！にしました。

それ何っ！？と言う人はこちらで予習！（クラッキンDJ コンプリートアルバム http://www.wave-master.com/ent/details/gnca/gnca7153/index.html）つまり、原曲の素材を切り貼りしていく、リミックス、と言う手法ですね。

ただ、DJをやる訳ではないので、好き勝手に切り貼りして良いと言う事でもなく、あくまで原曲重視を守りながら踊れるアレンジ、と言う所を目指したのが結構大変でした。VFファンだったら原曲との違いを聞きにくる、べし！
