東京ジョイポリスのデジタリアルアトラクション「HALFPIPE TOKYO」の収録ナンバー。作曲者のTsukasaこと矢鴇つかささんは、ゲームやアニメなどのデジタルコンテンツに楽曲提供を続けている楽曲制作チーム“Arte Refact”のチーフコンポーザー。音楽ゲームはもちろん、『バディ・コンプレックス』『境界線上のホライゾン』などのアニメ作品にも数多く楽曲を提供。同人サークル“SoundOnline”の主宰も務めています。

「Fragrance」は、静かなピアノから始まる、インテリジェントなナンバー。ドラムンベースのテイストを色濃く受け続ぎ、爽やかで透明感のあるシンセサイザーサウンドが、内側に熱気をはなんだ静かな高揚感を醸し出しています。聞き終えた後には、とても涼しげな印象が残ります。

PVには、美しい花が成長していくように、刻々と形を変える謎の建造物の姿が映し出されていきます。変形に変形を重ねたソレが、最後にどうなるのか？続きが気になるストーリ性も感じられる映像です。

『Fragrance』と『Black Out』を作曲したTsukasaです。

まずはCD発売おめでとうございます！

当初は東京ジョイポリス内アトラクションのHALFPIPE TOKYO楽曲ということで制作したのですが、こうしてmaimaiに収録され、更に幅広い人たちに聴いて頂けてありがたい限りです。

『Fragrance』はその高難易度が話題になり、沢山の人の心を折ったと思うのですが（笑）綺麗でカッコ良い曲なので、改めてじっくり聴いて頂ければと思います。
