• 神威 originates from the Korean arcade rhythm game, EZ2DJ 7thTRAX CLASS R -CODENAME:VIOLET-.
  • The EZ2DJ series lost a lawsuit to KONAMI for being a beatmania clone. Because of this, song crossovers from EZ2DJ to Japanese music games were deemed impossible. However, because the composers retain the copyrights for EZ2DJ songs since 7th (EZ2DJ licensed the songs from the composers), SEGA was able to license 神威 from the composer without it officially being a crossover from EZ2DJ.
• 神威's graphics are taken from its EZ2DJ video, which was made by Crolul.
