From maimai:GreeN to maimai:FiNALE, in-game currencies were used to purchase Collections and songs.

maimile

Used from maimai:GreeN to maimai:ORANGE PLUS.

The unit was "mile".

In ORANGE and ORANGE PLUS, maimile is also used to buy maiCHALLENGEs, but unlocking songs uses music tickets instead.

(ways to get maimile TBA)

music ticket

Used from maimai:ORANGE to maimai:ORANGE PLUS.

  • Login bonus: 10 ticket
    • Awarded each credit. Guaranteed.
  • Multiplayer bonus: 1 ticket
    • Awarded per credit when playing in multiplayer mode (VS/SYNC).
  • First played chart bonus: 2 ticket
    • Awarded when playing previously unplayed charts for the first time.
  • Play result bonus: 1 ticket
    • Awarded each time an All Perfect or 100% Sync is achieved.

maiberry

Used from maimai:PiNK to maimai:PiNK PLUS.

Known as マイベリー in Japanese. The unit was "mb".

Re-combined the functionalities of maimile and music ticket.

10000 maiberry was given to every player at their first playthrough of PiNK or PiNK PLUS; maimile and music tickets were gone.

  • 1000 maiberry per credit
  • Playing new songs added in the current version on any difficulty: 250 maiberry per track
  • Friend fever: doubles the awarded amount of maiberry when in multiplayer mode, except for the weekly bonus and presents from SEGA
  • Weekly bonus: 5000 maiberry is awarded for the first playthrough of the week, starting on each Thursday.

maiZENNY

Used from maimai:MURASAKi to maimai:MURASAKi PLUS.

Known as 舞ZENNY in Japanese. The unit was "MZ".

Basically just a name change from maiberry; all prices, rewards and mechanics in PiNK remain the same. 銭 (zeni) means money. In some UI backgrounds, 舞銭銀行 (maiZENNY bank) can be seen.

10000 maiZENNY was given to every player at their first playthrough of MURASAKi or MURASAKi PLUS; maiberries were gone.

In MURASAKi PLUS, Otohime's Room (乙姫の部屋) was added. At the end of a credit, the player can choose to gift some maiZENNY to Otohime. Some Collections will be awarded according to the gifted amount.

Also in MURASAKi PLUS, some Event Courses now award maiZENNY.

Cheese

Used from maimai:MiLK to maimai:FiNALE.

Known in Japanese as チーズ or sometimes まるごとチーズ (whole Cheese, used to differentiate between whole Cheese and Cheese Pieces), Cheese is the first in-game currency to be used on two major versions since maimile.

Unlike older in-game currencies, one Cheese is sub-divided into 20 Cheese Pieces (チーズのかけら), which is the basic unit.

5 Cheese was given to every player at their first playthrough of MiLK or MiLK PLUS; maiZENNY were gone.

When transferring data from MiLK PLUS to FiNALE, 5 more Cheese was given, without erasing any Cheese the player might have had in MiLK PLUS.

All Collections now cost at least 1 Cheese, effectively making them more expensive than in PiNK~MURASAKi PLUS.

  • Play any song: 3 (MiLK) / 7 (MiLK PLUS, FiNALE) Cheese Pieces per track
  • Play songs with "Cheese pieces +2" mark: +2 Cheese Pieces per track
  • Play with 2 players: +1 Cheese Piece per track
    • Playing with 3 or 4 players is untested
  • FiNALE Course: 5 Cheese for the first time of the day; 1 Cheese for the second time onwards
