- Monochrome Rainbow was added to maimai GreeN PLUS at launch, and needed to be unlocked with 5000 maimile.
- In maimai ORANGE, it needed to be unlocked with 10 music tickets.
- Since maimai ORANGE PLUS, it is available by default.
- Monochrome Rainbow received DX charts in maimai でらっくす FESTiVAL PLUS. These charts are unlockable from June 8th to 29th, 2023 by getting 300SP in Friend Matching Season 11. Later unlock dates can be found on the Friend Matching page.
- From Season 14 (November 24, 2023), these DX charts are available by default.
- In the Asian version, it can be unlocked from November 2nd, 2023 by filling out a Stamp Card.
