「True Love Song」と同じく、クラシックの名曲をアレンジしたオリジナルナンバーです。原曲となったのは、ルートヴィヒ・ヴァン・ベートーヴェンが1799年に作曲したピアノソナタ第8番ハ短調作品13「大ソナタ悲愴」。「悲愴」は、ピアノソナタ第14番「月光」、ピアノソナタ第23番「熱情」とともに、“ベートーヴェン三大ピアノソナタ”として世界中の音楽ファンから愛されています。

そしてこの「Color My World」の編曲を手がけているのは、GOSHこと塚越晋さん。「悲愴」はポピュラーミュージックにも数多くアレンジされていますが、この曲はスタンダードナンバーには定評があるジャズシンガー・瀬口寛美さんのムーディーかつスマートな歌声により、スムースジャズテイストの小粋な楽曲になりました。ゆったりとしたメロディーと跳ねるリズムが、夜のムードを漂わせます。モデルウォークするキャラクターをフィーチャーしたPVも落ち着いた雰囲気。ロケテスト時には「Pathetique」という曲名て、まだ歌詞の入っていない仮歌バージョンが収録されていました。

ベートーヴェンのピアノ・ソナタ『悲愴』のアレンジを担当しました。挑戦としてミディアムテンポの曲を作成して入れ込んでみたらどうかという提案で、こんな大人っぽいアレンジにしてみました。

悲愴というタイトルとは裏腹に、落ち着いた雰囲気のメロディから入っていくこの曲。ベートーヴェンはどんな気持ちで作った曲なんでしょうね？そんな事を思いながらアレンジしていったのですが、この曲ならではの魅力が引き出せたかな？と思っています。

原曲も素敵な曲なので是非探して聞いてみてくださいね。
