Tour Member

Tour Member (Japanese: つあーメンバー, Chinese: 旅行伙伴) is part of the Area mechanic.

Each Tour Member is only good at (Japanese: とくい, Chinese: 擅长) Infinite Areas and the Area it's obtained in; it's bad at (Japanese: にがて, Chinese: 不擅长) the rest of the Areas. Exceptions exist; Areas that serve as sequels to older Areas usually have Tour Members from the older Area set as being good at the sequel Area. These will be mentioned in the Area description on this wiki.

In an Area that a Tour Member is bad at, its DX Power (Japanese: でらっくすパワー, Chinese: DX能量) is always 1, regardless of its level.

In an Area that a Tour Member is good at, its DX Power increases as the level increases and it awakens (Japanese: 覚醒, Chinese: 觉醒).

Tour Members awaken when they reach levels 9, 49, 99, 299 and 999. Each time a Tour Member awakens, a star is filled, and its DX Power increases by a large amount. The total number of stars among all Tour Members that a player has would be shown on the login screen.

DX Power increases as follows:

  • Level 1~8: DX Power = level + 10 (11~18)
  • Level 9~48: DX Power = level + 100 (109~148)
  • Level 49~98: DX Power = level + 200 (249~298)
  • Level 99~298: DX Power = level + 300 (399~598)
  • Level 299~998: DX Power = level + 400 (699~1398)
  • Level 999: DX Power = level + 500 (1499)

The level of all currently chosen Tour Members increase by one for each song played.

In DX+, the "lock" feature was added when choosing Tour Members. Locked Tour Members will not be changed when the "auto set" button is pressed.

Distance

The distance ran is calculated by adding together the result of total DX Power times multipliers, as well as total DX Power itself. For each multiplier, the result is rounded up to the nearest integer.

Rank D~BBB A~S+ SS~SS+ SSS~SSS+
Ach. Rate [0,80) [80,99) [99,100) [100,101]
Multiplier 0 (Rate-80)/100 0.2 0.2+(Rate-100)/10

There's a bug in distance calculation. When DX Power * multiplier = an integer, it would still be "rounded up" to the integer above it, giving the player 1m "for free". eg. 15 * 0.2 gives 4m

Proof that the DX Pass bonus was applied to the base value (total DX Power) and not after adding the achievement rate bonus: https://youtu.be/sfgcfkwJvXE?t=28m43s

When playing in two-player mode, bonus songs for the area of either player gives bonus to both players, except in infinite areas. Infinite areas do not receive bonus from the other player's bonus song.
