where did you find these high res images? They look suspiciously upscaled --totally not by MENDES (talk) 16:18, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

Hi. This website grabs them directly from iTunes/Apple Music servers.

If you search for the song's (not always a single; it may be an album like in the case of MKDR's jacket being from GHOST by DECO*27) title in the server corresponding to the Apple Music site of the country you found the jacket on Apple Music, there will be links to standard and uncompressed resolutions of some of these song jackets (obvious exclusions being most maimai originals or jackets specifically altered for game release such as Idol or Zenzenzense [although the old one for the latter is still findable with this tool]).

Example of using the first (iTunes Artwork Finder) tool to find full resolution jackets. If using the second (Apple Music Artwork finder) tool, paste the direct AM link to it instead.

Alternatively, I pasted the Apple Music links directly into this tool from the same developer as the first tool where the first could not find artwork from any server, such as Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu (which I searched the Japanese servers for as well as my own countries' - even spelling it syouthitsu like its literal "official romanized" release title returned no response). With Photoshop, I converted any that were originally jpgs to png, and reduced either the file size (which I did for about half) or dimensions (so far I have only had to do this with Igaku which was 6000x6000).

I assure you these images are not upscaled and I was following what I interpreted in the content policy which says

>>>[the song jackets] should be at in-game resolution or better (if you can find a larger image that is otherwise exactly identical to the in-game image).

so I was thinking any findable original resolution jackets could be uploaded to the wiki this way.

Please let me know if I should stop this (e.g., consistency, storage, "copyright/fair use" issues or otherwise). --Hoyuten (talk) 00:23, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
