- もぺもぺ originates from THE BMS OF FIGHTERS 2017 -LEGENDA EST A MYTH- Be-Music Source song contest. It finished 3rd overall.
- Its BMS genre is イルーム音楽.
- もぺもぺ is infamous for its shocking music video, which like the music, initially appears gentle and child-friendly before becoming much more chaotic and horror-like.
- In maimai, the short clips of horror scenes in the first part of the video are blurred with mosaic, and the long horror scene in later parts of the video is censored by replacing it with footage of a ferry boat. This is a reference to an incident involving the anime School Days, where a scene similar to a recent publicised murder caused the final episode to be withheld and replaced by stock footage. The meme Nice boat. derives from part of this replacement footage, where a Norwegian ferry was seen. More info here
