Hiro：
この曲は「天下一音ゲ祭」用に書き下ろしたオリジナル。
KONAMI、タイトー、バンダイナムコゲームスと SEGA でそれぞれのテーマに沿う楽曲を提供し合った。
SEGA のテーマは「水」。なぜなら maimai は洗濯機だから！！他社の人といろいろ絡みながら楽曲を制作するのはとても楽しかった。
読み方はラテン語で「ヴェルテクス」。「渦」と言う意味がある。曲名の二つ目の "e" が小文字なのは中二感をより強調するため。
楽曲はパワフルでボス感ありありながらも、テーマの水を表現する流れるようなメロが乗った作りになっている。
危機感を煽りまくる警告音風のシンセがいい味を醸し出している。BPM237 は自己最速。
