* Internal level is a number with one decimal place that is not shown in gameplay. BASIC charts are always level X.0; ADVANCED and above can have other values. For level 7 and above, X.7 ~ X.9 corresponds to level X+, and X.0 ~ X.6 corresponds to level X.
** The only exception is [[PANDORA PARADOXXX]] STD BASIC, which is level 7.7.

Rating, officially DX Rating (でらっくす RATING), is a number that shows the skill of a player, similar to jubility in jubeat, Volforce in SOUND VOLTEX, etc.

A major difference with the pre-DX Rating is that, rating for charts is now determined by highest score only. The "recent" slot (as it was called colloquially) in the old Rating system, that measures a certain number of recent playthroughs, is gone. This means that the Rating does not decrease unless your 段位 drops prior to Splash PLUS, and does not decrease at all since Splash PLUS.

General Information

The exact Rating values for each chart is now viewable with the Standard Course subscription. This makes it possible to deduce the formula used to calculate the per-chart Rating: Internal level * rank constant * achievement rate, rounding down.

  • Rank constant can change between versions.
  • Achievement rate is capped at 100.5%; higher rates are treated as 100.5% for rating calculation purposes.

maimai でらっくす Splash PLUS

段位 rating is no longer a part of the total rating. Friend Matching now awards class emblems instead of 段位 (basically just a name change).

35 old charts and 15 new charts are used in rating calculation.

Rank constant is also changed significantly:

  • (lower ranks unknown)
  • A: 13.6
  • AA: 15.2
  • AAA: 16.8
  • S: 20.0
  • S+: 20.3
  • SS: 20.8
  • SS+: 21.1
  • SSS: 21.6
  • SSS+: 22.4

Color for ratings is also changed:

Color Before After
Rainbow 8500~ 15000~
Platinum 14500~14999
Gold 8000~8499 14000~14499
Silver 7000~7999 13000~13999
Bronze 6000~6999 12000~12999
Purple 5000~5999 10000~11999
Red 4000~4999 7000~9999
Yellow 3000~3999 4000~6999
Green 2000~2999 2000~3999
Blue 1000~1999 1000~1999

With this change, the rating is close to the last iteration of the pre-DX Rating * 1000.
