- AMABIE can be unlocked in maimai でらっくす Splash PLUS from June 25th, 2021, by clearing it as a Perfect Challenge after reaching a total distance of 999 km in the Takamagahara Area (高天原ちほー).
- Amabie is a figure of Japanese legend, a merperson with three legs/fins and a bird beak-like mouth. It instructs people to make likenesses of it to defend against illness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, amabie came into the public consciousness as a symbol of the fight against the disease.
