Lyrics

Are you ready GO!
Shiny!

Are you ready go! hashiridasou! toriisogi saa START!

English

This is the official English translation used in the English localization of Yakuza 5.

Those dreams, those aspirations
No more than scribbles, almost faded away
Is this what you want? Is this who you are?
I asked the grumpy mirror so many times

Gotta get over those days that makes me sad
The flower of my dreams
Needs lots of hope to bloom

Are you ready? Go! Just start running!
Come on! Start! On the double!
Keep your chin up! Don't look back!
I'll shine even more tomorrow!

It's up to me to grab my future!
Press the start button right away!
I can be so much more!

I gotta believe
I can be so much more!

Song Connections / Remixes

  • In Yakuza 5, T-SET (CV: Ryouko Shiraishi, Ai Nonaka) and Noa Amon (CV: Chihiro Aoki) also performed parts of KONNAN
    • The entire in-game cut sung by T-SET and Noa Amon can be found in the game data of Yakuza 5, but the game switches between Hakura's version and one of these two versions, so they were never fully heard normally.
  • Multiple versions of KONNANじゃないっ! are available in the original soundtracks of Yakuza 5:
    • KONNANじゃないっ! [Full Spec Edition]: sung by T-SET and Haruka Sawamura together.
~feat.澤村 遥~ : sung by Haruka Sawamura.
~feat.T-SET~: sung by T-SET.
-情熱的だよ全員集合mix-: sung by Haruka Sawamura, with many characters in the game cheering in the background.

Trivia

  • KONNANじゃないっ! is the first idol song performed by Haruka Sawamura in Yakuza 5.
  • The title is a double entendre in Japanese, and can mean both "not difficult" and "not like this".
  • In the English localization of Yakuza 5, KONNANじゃないっ!'s title is changed to "So much more!". The double entendre is removed, and "I'm definitely not like this" is rewritten as "I can be so much more".
  • In Asian English versions of maimai, KONNANじゃないっ!'s title and artist are changed to KONNAN-jyanai! and Haruka Sawamura “Yakuza”, respectively.
  • KONNANじゃないっ! was added to maimai GreeN at launch, and needed to be unlocked with 20000 maimile.
