- On 2014/11/14, SEGA announced that, since 2014/12/1, videos with less than 100 views within 90 days after being uploaded to niconico would be removed. Videos uploaded before that date would be removed on 2015/3/1 if 100 views are not reached before that date. This seems to be a policy of niconico, and SEGA couldn't do anything about it.

- In older versions, if the player chose to upload a video, they would not be asked again for uploading new videos until the current game session ended.
- In MURASAKi, the player would be asked each song regardless of whether a prior track is already queued for uploading. However, only the last track queued in a game session would be uploaded.
- Rating system changed
- There's now a "history" slot that covers almost every chart. This means that almost all charts are now involved in Rating calculation, and not just the highest-level, highest-score charts.

- This is basically a new scale instead of a simple expansion of the formerly highest difficulty. Most charts are simply up-rated half a level (eg. 12→12+). However this is not uniformly applied and resulted in a messy difficulty scale.

- Rating Guard can be activated in Game Options. If activated, a beehive-shaped shield would appear on the result screen and prevent the Rating from decreasing.
- The de facto ending song for FiNALE, Believe the Rainbow, uses even more overlapping slide notes than Hana to, yuki to, drum 'n' bass..
- QZKago Requiem Re:Master is the first normal chart to abuse the slide standby time change feature.
