SEGA originally considered holding two tournaments, one for each area, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, contestants from both areas were to go to SEGA's main company building in Ōsaki, Tokyo, and no audiences were allowed into the building.
 
The contestants are divided into two groups of two based on their rankings in the online preliminaries. Each contestant chooses a song from the song pool below, and each group plays the two songs, competing with the total TECHNICAL SCORE. The song to be played for the finals is also decided by the player beforehand, along with the aforementioned two songs. The same song cannot be chosen twice by the same player.
 
* If two players got the same total TECHNICAL SCORE, the player with a higher number of CRITICAL BREAKs win.
* If the number of CRITICAL BREAKs is also the same, the player with a higher number of BREAKs win.
* If the number of BREAKs is also the same, the player with a higher number of HITs win.
* If the number of HITs are also the same, the staff would choose another song in the song pool for the players to compete again.
 
The two best players from each area (a total of 4 players) are eligible for the final tournament. For the final tournament, the first place in the east area and the second place in the west area would be competing against each other, and the second place in the east area and the first place in the west area would be competing against each other.
